Christmas 2009

Christmas 2009 was a great and some what simply Christmas! We had fun as we shared our Christmas with Eric, our exchange student, and had a some what traditional Christmas!
We did not have a missionary in the field so we did not get the excitement of waiting for a call but... I could not help but to think about next Christmas when Rhett and Forrest will be on their missions! It is so exciting to think where they could possible go! For some reason my heart seems to think they will go to a foreign land some where. It really does not matter where they will go because where ever that is, it is where the Lord will need them most! And they will love their missions. I pray and know that where ever it is, that is where they should be! I look forward to the day these young men became a tool in the Lords hand!
We made a 22 pound prime rib roast for Christmas dinner and Blake made twice baked potatoes, Caesar salad and Erin made corn and brownies. The only thing that was missing was the Cowarts! It is always sad to me when all my kids are over and posey and her family are not here! I never feel complete unless she is here!
Moms and daughters have special bonds not to say that we sometimes have different views but you always know a daughter will be close to her mom! I love and miss my Posey! Thank Heaven for cell phones where we can talk when ever we want to!
Back to Christmas we did not put up a traditional tree do to the fact that we were moving back into our home on Gail and we could not bring one more box into our home because we had so many already! But we put some lights around the silk tree and for the first time in 32 years Santa came Christmas eve! It was so nice to go to bed at a some what normal time and not get up at five in the morning to open gifts!
pops and i got wii for the grand kids and we hope they enjoy them! Santa was good to walker, Rhett and Eric! And Tom and i got a new camera so we can take pictures at Rhett's wrestling matches!
I am so thankful for our Savior! He gets me through each and everyday! Everything I have that is good is from my Savior and Heavenly Father! And i mean everything from my family to my extended family, friends, home, food, cars, and one of my biggest blessings is my husband and the gospel.
I am thankful for the plan of Salvation, that we all can be exalted and we can all return to our Father in Heaven and live as Eternal families! I am very thankful to my Father in heaven for providing a Savior to come for us and live here and die here so we can return one day to live with our families for Eternities with our Father!
It is my prayer that we all have a great and happy new year and that we count our blessings and name them one by one! and if we try to do this we will find happiness through out the new year!
Love,Tamy

I pray The Lord Understands!

It is Sunday the 20th of December and it as always has been a very hectic last three days or so!
Between moving and Christmas shopping and Rhetts wrestling I feel sure that I have already gone crazy!
Every time I think again that we are getting close to be unpacked Tom brings another few boxes in! Love Tom more than words can say but on the other hand he can be so Danm anal about certain things! He gets going on something and he just will do more harm than help sometimes!
While we lived on Fairview he would come over to the Gail house and pack up stuff that did not needed to be packed up! So he keeps bringing in stuff that i did not know he packed up... there for i feel sure I will never be unpacked again!
Another thing he does is he says what can i do to help and.... then when i tell him it stresses him out if you tell him more than one thing to get or to do! I am thankful for the little shopping he did in between wrestling matches yesterday and for driving me to a few stores and letting me get some shopping done while he waited in the car and then that way i did not have to find a parking place! And we did enjoy a quick sushi date last night! And then when we got home i went to 31 flavors to get Tom a special treat! A thick chocolate milkshake!
The wresting tournament was good, Rhett was a little disappointed that he did not wrestle as well as he would of like to! Of course Dad andI were pride of him! He had hurt his arm but continued to wrestle! He won 2 and lost 2 so not bad! I did fell bad that the higley kid that Rhett wrestled, his elbow got hurt and he had to go get exrays done on it! Still not sure of the out come for him! I asked Rhett how he thought it got hurt and Rhett said he thought it was the double chicken wing that Rhett had him in!
So after this week i have been so tired and i did not have the strength to go two the grocery store and we were suppose to go to the Pugmires for a neighborhood soup get together and i did not have anything to make soup with! I told Tom that i had to go to the store and he said than we will not go! But the kids really wanted to go and they wanted to have my fantastic clam chowder so.... yes i went to the store anyway! Tom was not happy about it and waited in the car while i went in! So I walked in with pride like i owned the place! Did i feel bad i broke the Sabbath? Yes I did but i ,feel sure the Lord knows my heart and he understands that some times you just have to go to the grocery store sometimes on Sunday! I think the soup will be awesome! At least it smells like it will be!
Tom,Walker,Rhett,Eric and me went to Blake and Tanyas ward today be cause Blake played the a special musical solo on the piano today! It was beautiful! The man that spoke after he played was very moved and emotional when he got up to talk after Blake played. He said that his older sister played the piano very well for so many years and he loved it especially allot at Christmas when she played the holiday music! He preceded to tell that his sister had passed away not to long ago. He wepted as he talked of her and thanked Blake for the beautiful music he played! He said he misses his sister and her music so much!
It is great when the spirit abides with you! We get caught up in the worldly things especially at Christmas and we forget the true meaning of Christmas! It is my prayer that we all can take some time out to be thankful for our Savior and older brother Jesus and all that he does for us! It is like the saying that Erin gave to me it reads,"Heaven, Don't miss it for the world"!

I pray The Lord Understands!

Today has been a long day ! I unpacked a few more boxes and then off to the doctor. Angie my home health care nurse call dr Tingey and talk to him about some things that was worring her! I thought the water retention But dr Tingey said it was still there and has now ordered more labs ! So I will have to wait until Angie comes on tuesday so she can do labs thru my port!
Then Eric and I grab some lunch and off to the wrestling tounament! I was not feeling well so I went out to my car and slept for awhile Tom , Walker and Eric watched and when it was close to the time Rhett would wrestle Tom would call me! So right before Rhett wrestled Tom call me and I hurried in and Rhett ended up pinning his kid in 38 seconds! So we waited almost 4 hours for one matcht to last 38 seconds! WOW, next time give us a little more filming time!!
And if you are wondering why I took a picture of all the wrestlers with there singlets down and bare chested, it is because they all have to have what they call "skin checks" And what they are looking for is Ring Worm and finger nails that are to long and have to be clipped!
So Rhett will start in thr quarter finals in the morning!
Rhett stay pumped and we are proud of you know matter what! We are thankful for such an great fun son! We love you!

Labs and Hydration

Waiting for lab report!

Thing are moving Along!

I feel sure that when i think we are getting close on unpacking things for the house, then in comas more boxes to be unpacked and put away! I will say at least the is some walking room room to get through the house! not are we only unpacking but with Erics sooer games and Rhetts wrestling and Toms jobs and church meetings we are just on over load right now!
And then i have struggled with my health! My joints and muscle are so sore and i am having trouble with water retension! Angie my sweet home health care nurse has been worring about me and she cae this morning to draw labs on me to see what the problem is! and she will be back later to start my hydration!
Rhett came home from practice yesterday and said coach Trulson really worked him but.... rhett said he learned alot from he! Rhett has another big tournament this friday and Saturday! He is so excited about that!
Eric had a soccer game last night and lost four to nothing! Now that is a low blow!!
Tom spent two hours putting on a new front door handle last night because our old one broke! He was not happy about that!
We are thankful for this time of the year when we celebrate the Savior being born and this year i plan on things being siimply and remembering what CHISTMAS IS REALLY ABOUT! I am so thankful for my older brother our Savior, Jesus Christ!

The Big Move!

well for the last week we have been so busy that we do not know if we are coming or going!
Tom decided we needed to start moving last Monday in the pouring rain! Yes my new sectionals got wet and lots of other stuff that we moved! We went over for the last load last night after Eric's Christmas party for all the exchange students! but back to the move Tom has worked so hard to get us moved and all of our kids have helped as well! Even the Elders came over for a few hours. This pass 2 years have been hard on Tom the business and building our home only to have to sell it! Tom has always tried to make things easy on his family but also can be very hard headed when it comes to doing things his way! He also hates to ask for help! I think he needs a long vacation!
We still have so much work to do here at our Gail house! Tons of boxes to unpack and lots to get organized! We can only do so much in one day!
We also went to Scottsdale to watch Rhett wrestle as i already said and he was 3 for 3! But the HUGE Cactus tournament was great! Rhett took second place out of 18 schools and he has another big tournament this weekend also! when he came home from practice he told us he is 5th in the state right now for 4A division 2. so far this year Rhett has had a great year with football, wrestling and great grades! Rhett keep up the great work and never forget what you stand for!
Eric has great grade also and is the star soccer player of Higley! he is always so happy and appreciate him! He has two games this week!
I took Moyna today for her 3rd round of chemo! and once again she is a champ! Never complains and is so thank full for all her trails. She still has her warrior attitude and is an amazing fighter!
I have had so much trouble with swelling! I had to have a Remacade infusion on Thursday and will be hydrated tomorrow! I had a hard time moving about at the wrestling tournament do to the swelling and joint and muscle pain! I am going to use the awesome Watson products that Monya gave me! I love Watson stuff! Monya turned me on to that! Monya spoils me! We enjoyed lunch together today and look forward to taking her back tomorrow for her lunasta injection! Love her dearly! We actually enjoy our time together as she gets her chemo! We alaways find someone to talk about at the hosptal or laugh at! The time goes by quick! We also got to go by the hospital to see Baby Recker monyas first grandbaby! So Cute!
Again I want my family to realize the power of prayer! As hard as things have been in the past few years the Lord has never left our sides! We have had so many blessing! The fact that our home short sold and closed in3 weeks is amazing!
I need to get busy because i have not boughts one gift yet for Christmas! and it is short time~

Monya thrid round!
