Pops, A Fishermen...?

Yes that is what I said! Pops a fishermen!

Tom and the boys were invited by an old friend, Adam, to go to San Carlos to go fishing for a few days! Adam, Tom, Joe, Walker, left on Thursday morning and drove down to San Carlos Bay! They had a great time driving down, stopping at taco stands along the way and having some great meals!

They all were so excited to go fishing and the boat was ready and waiting! Adam has a beautiful condo on the water and had been trying to get Tom down to San Carlos to fish for quite a while.

On Thursday ,since it was afternoon when they arrived they just took Adam's boat out for a cruise around the bay! The boat is a very large fishing boat and the crew that worked on the boat was very helpful. The boat was ready for the next morning and they all were very excited to see who would catch the biggest fish!

They all got up early and were on the boat by 6:30 in the morning! They pulled in different kind of fish but... Yes Tom caught the biggest fish and it was a Yellow Tail, just what they were fishing for! Tom did say that he caught some that were bigger than the biggest one he pulled in but... those got away! UHHHHH I think I call HUMMMMMM on that! I am sure that was a fishermen story! But of course Joe and Walker said that was true but.... they would stick up for their dad any time or any day! So I am not sure if I believe Tom caught a bigger fish than what the pictures show! All in all it was a great day and they all had a GREAT sushi dinner that night!

Kip and Hunter came down to go fishing on Saturday! Joe and Walker have LOVED to fish with their Uncle Kip since they have been young and were so excited to get on the boat with him and Hunter!

They all woke up again early on Saturday and walked down to the dock from the condo and the deck hands were waiting and off they went! Again it was a beautiful day and the fishing was great! Kip and Hunter caught some unusual kinds of fish, but are very good to eat, and Tom, Joe, Walker, and Adam caught some more Yellow Tail!

Again they all had a sushi dinner that night, and the rest of the fish was bagged and put in the ice chest to take home!

I am so happy that Tom, Joe, and Walker were able to take some time off from work and go fishing together. It was something that had been in the planning stage for a while! Not only did they get to go but... they caught allot of fish and..... YES... Tom did catch the Biggest Yellow Tail of the weekend!

Joe told me the highlight of the weekend for him was, watching his dad fight to reel in his big Yellow Tail! He also said that was his favorite picture! If you notice Tom's Tshirt in the picture where he is reeling in his fish, Joe had Tshirts made for the trip! Thanks Joe!

I do have to say one thing.... Erin thanks for taking one for the team!

Friday Night Softball!

Joe and Erin play coed softball on Friday nights but.... This last Friday night Joe was out of town fishing with Pops and Walker! So this meant Joe had to get a substitute to play for him and who did he ask to play for him...... Yes, RHETT!!!!

As a mom I hate to say that Rhett is not the best softball player but , he was a good sport and was happy to take a few for the team!

Erin got a sitter for the kids and Eric,Rhett, Erin and I were off to the game! Knowing what I know about Rhett's softball ability... I was more stressed than I would be if I was at one of Rhett's wrestling matches or a football game!

Rhett played in Joe spot, center field and the first fly ball that was hit to Rhett, yes he missed it and the ball went over Rhett's head and far behind him! Erin had told him what ever you do, just do not let the ball get behind you! And It did! WOW!!!

I will tell you after that he did not let a ball get behind him again."Whoof'

I do have to say that Rhett has an arm on him so that was good ,since he was playing center!

OK, now the batting!!!! Not so good! Rhett did get on base but not by hitting the ball so far, it was because seriously Rhett is BLAZING fast! He is like his dad when It comes to speed!

We did win the game and I told Rhett he was the MVP!

We later explained to Rhett that he was the MVP because if he would of not showed up, they might not of been able to play there their game do to the fact that they would of not had a full team! Thanks Rhett for showing up and being a "warm body",!

Rhett don't ever forget that you will always be my, MVP!!!

Three Darling Boys!!

For those of you that do not know... Posey and Ben moved from Indiana to Georgia in February! I am so proud of Posey and LOVE her more than she can ever imagine!

When I got married I could not even stay at home by my self when Tom worked late! I would go spend the night at my moms house on those nights! I do not know what I would of done without my mom!

I do have to say that when Ben asked Tom and I if he could marry Posey I made him promise that he would never move her out of state! He did promise me that so... I am waiting for Ben to bring her back!:-)

Back to Posey, she is so very strong to leave her family and all her friends and go where her husband has taken her! Through out her marriage Ben has worked in place all over where he would fly to his job and be there from 1 or 2 days to up to more than a week! Posey would stay home by herself and then when she started having kids, she would be alone with 3 little boys taking care of them while Ben was gone! I can honestly tell you I could of never done that!

I just want her to know how proud Pops and I are of her!

Thing have been so difficult at times for her but... she just continues to do the best she can no matter what the situation is!

Posey I LOVE YOU very much and so does Pops! Like I said I do not know how you do it without your family and friends! I am so blessed to have you for a daughter!!!

I love all of Posey kids so much! I would of NEVER thought that Posey would have these fair skin, blue eyed kids! Not one of the boys look like her at all!!! Baby Gwen looks more like her child than her boys do!!

Vance and I have a special bond and I think that is because when Vance was born, Posey and Ben were living with us. So I spent a lot of one on one time with him. I would give him his nightly bottles and I so enjoyed that precious time with him! Vance loves sports. He especially loves the Georgia Bulldogs ! Uncle Walker and Uncle Rhett try to get Vance to say he loves the Sun Devils but... He is a huge Bulldog Fan like his dad! Ever since Vance was 2 or younger be can throw any kind of ball just as straight as a arrow with power as well! The other thing that Vance LOVES is animals! He loves to bend down to their level and talk right in their face! Vance does that with the goats, cats, and dogs, and has no problem trying to pick them up no matter how dirty they may be! Vance is a swimmer! He could jump off the diving board when he was two, and swim to the edge of the pool! The thing I love the most about Vance are his expression! that he gives you with his face! He can make anyone smile ,and melt your heart! WOW I miss that kid!

Brogan also know as BRO-BRO! This kid was a little scrawny kid and then he hit 20 m0nths or so and he started growing and got so big! I thought that he was going to be so short and small when he got to be an adult. WOW I feel sure I am wrong! I think he is going to be huge!! He weighs as much as his big brother! Speaking of his big brothew, I love when I hear Brogan calling Vance, Vancie! It is so sweet! I feel sure he will be a football player, and he will be the center for some football team! Brogan loves his Transformers , but I can tell you I am not sure what he loves more his army man blanket and his cowboy blanket or his toys! Actually I feel sure his most favorite thing is his mom! He is a momma boy! Bro Bro LOVES food and would eat all day if you let him! Both Vance and BroBro love being in the garden with their grandpa Cowart. Brogan and Vance love to be outside and they love to fish with their dad! They are both, ALL boy!!!

Baby Grey, he is now six months old! But.. he was two months early. So he acts like a four month old! Grey was not easy getting here! Posey has some health problem with her kidneys and when she was pregnant her kidneys got worst! Posey was in the hospital for 5 weeks before they took the baby 2 months early! I was in Indiana went Grey was born! I would go sit in the N.I.C.U. with him and he looked so small and he was. At first we were not allowed to hold him for about two weeks, because he was unable to maintain his temperture and his weight and by holding him and moving him around he would burn calories and loose weight! He had to reach to the high side of four pounds before we could hold him! The first time I held him I had to dig down into the blanket to see if he was in there! He was so sweet and it was so hard to see him get stuck with IVs and it was so hard to see the nurses put his feeding tube down his nose!!! The day I had to give him a kiss and say good-by to him because I had to go back to AZ was so extremly difficult to do! I was so worried about him and I was so sad to leave him. I sat and held him and just kissed his little face and cried! He is catching up now! I hate it that I do not get to hold often. I can't wait to hold him again and kiss and squeeze him tight! He is darling!

Pops and I love and miss these 3 little darling Cowart boys so much ! WE CAN:T WAIT FOR YOU TO MOVE BACK TO ARIZONA!!!!

Tag, You Are Frozen!

It was a beautiful day Saturday and Joe and Erin had been at the "Aloha Festival" for a good part of the day with Emma, Noah, and Gwen. I will say that this little Ohana (means family in Hawaiian) fits right in at the festival, seeing that Joe served his mission in Hawaii. Also Joe's and Erin's kids have those odd Hawaiian middle names. I am sure that I will not spell them right but... I will give it a try!

Emma Poliahu is 5 years old but sometimes I think she is 25! She is the helper. If there is a baby in the room,Emma will want to hold and take care of the baby before playing with the other kids. Emma P as we call her, loves gymnastic and sports ,she can drive me crazy sometime making me watch her do cartwheels! Emma LOVES to have Gavin and Lucy spend the night or she LOVES to spend the night at Gavin and Lucy's any chance she can talk her mom into it! But... I think her favorite love is girly things. High heel, jewelry, and makeup! She does not leave home with out it!

Noah Kai is 3 and is full of energy! He loves his sport class and can ride his bike without training wheels. Noah loves to read and can read some of the books his mom and dad read to him at night. He loves to fish with his dad and do guy things! One thing about Noah I come to learn is I think he gets the most time outs of all my grand kids! So Sad,Two minutes or Three Minutes!!! I am not sure if it is always his fault but he is a good sport and takes one for the team anyway! But...I think the two most favorite things Noah likes to do is, wrestle with Uncle Walker and Uncle Rhett and his dad, and irritate his sisters!

Gwyneth Ke'ela is one and a half. AKA "Gangster Gwen or Lil Tam"! Aunt Stacy gave her these names because of her dark hair and dark eyes and she may be tiny but she is MIGHTY! Aunt Stacy thinks she looks just like Grammy did when I was a little girl! I have to admit she really does! Gwenie does every thing she can to keep up with the big kids! She loves to come to Pops and Grammies to play with Boone,(the dog) and if anyone loves to wrestle and be teased by Uncle Walker and Uncle Rhett it is Gwenie! I know Gwen holds an extra soft spot in her uncle Walkers heart! Gwen is the only person in her ward that likes High Counsel Sundays because Pops sits on the stand during church and all through sacrament she points to him and says loudly "POPS"!!! She LOVES her Pops!

Back to Tag, you are frozen! Emma, Noah, Gwen, the neighbor kids, Erin, Joe, Rhett, Walker played freeze tag on the front lawn Saturday! I really do not know who had more fun the adults or the kids! When Pops pulled in from work he ran in and changed to come and play too! Seriously I had to tell the adults to be careful because it got pretty competitive! The weather was beautiful and they all played for a good long while! They took turns being the person that tags you and freezes you. It was so funny watching and listening them play! One would get frozen and they would stand there yelling "hurry come unfreeze me"! The little kids were really good to sneak up and unfreeze who ever was frozen! If I had to pick a champion Freeze Tag Player it would be Rhett! He never seemed to even get winded! He also was the fastest on his feet and could duck and dive when he needed to! Noah and Rhett was the Championship team I think, They seemed to work the best together! I think Erin was frozen most of the time! She needs to rehab her knee a little more and try again!!!

The whole time I watched them play I was just wishing that all ten of our grandchildren could of been there to all play together! Now that would of been the BEST Freeze Tag Game Ever!

Sleep Over At Pops and Grammies!

Grand kids, what do you do with them and what would you do with out them!

Pops and Grammy had a sleep over Friday night with Blake's and Tanya's kids so they could have a long date night! Now let me tell you this, it was fun "Most of the Time" but there were a few moments when Tom and I looked at each other and said what the "Hell" were we thinking when we agreed to this!

It is so funny how out of ten grand kids, each one is so different in their own ways!

Lets start with our tender Gavin , he is 7. He is so smart and wants to be so close to you and want to sit right by you with his arms around you and tell you how pretty you are! What Grammy would not love that! He is a book boy, he loves to look and read books! Gavin loves soccer and basketball, and with his height no one will shoot over him!I think he will be six and a half feet tall someday!

Lucy... where do I start with her! She is 5. Lucy doesn't like to stay at Grammies to much and she is very independent! Lucy will give me looks that could kill, (she gets that from her mom) if I say something she does not agree with! She LOVES her mommy and daddy and is a mommy and daddy girl! She also LOVES her "Pet Shop" toys and will share them Elle like a good big sister would! Lucy also plays soccer and basketball and again she has the "Tall" genes,who knows she might be a basketball star like her mom was in high school!

OK Miss Elle she is 3! Elle is so funny and she is a Grammies girl! She loves me no matter! She has this "Froggy" voice like Posey had when she was little! Elle loves her flower blanket and her thumb!! One thing I love about Elle is she thinks Grammies is funny and I love that because all the Grand kids think Pops hung the moon and is hilarious, but Elle thinks I am just as funny! She loves to talk and she pronounce her "C" like a "T" so she told me the other night that "She wanted to sleep with the "Tuptake Pillow" and she also told me that her her babysitter had a "Tute Tiddy"! She cracks me up and she is a great big sister to Gage or as she calls him "Gager"

Speaking of Gage, He is all action! You better have your eye on him or he will be on the kitchen table! I do have to say that he is a snuggle bug and has the cutest smile ever! His eyes are so blue and I can tell you this he is going to be one huge lineman but I am hoping he will be a heavy weight wrestler!

We loved spending the time with them all and I feel bad Pops had to go to work at 6:30 because I know that they were all disappointed that they did not get to have Pops Pancakes so they will have to come back and have pancakes and that does not mean stay the night again... it means just come over one morning or evening and have pancakes! We love you all!

Tom!! Has Lost His Mind!!

Tom has lost his mind!! If anyone finds it could you please call me!!!! I will come pick it up!!!

Saturday Tom called me while I was at Costco and told me he had a surprise for me! Well after almost 33 years of marriage, he knows I HATE surprises! I should of seen this coming because Tom has been on the Internet looking at horses and showing me many different pictures. But... I had no idea he was headed to the sell to buy a very green broncy registered quarter horse!!

He tried to tell me that it was his anniversary present! What the hell is he thinking, I did not plan on buying him an anniversary present! But let me be clear if I did decide to buy him a gift it would not be a horse!

You would think that after Tom had a pretty bad injury from a colt that he raised and broke, that he would just enjoy riding his calm sweet mare Jaylee that I bought him for his 40th birthday!! But NO!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom always likes a challenge and loves to live on the edge!! When ever he gets a horse that is broke well and is pretty much kid proof, Tom no longer thinks it is fun to ride them! So.. he sell them and buys another broncy challenge!

I feel sure Joe and Walker were in on this and help enable Tom in getting the horse! I think Walker picked up the horse trailer and took it to Tom to haul the horse home! Every thing that Tom does Joe and Walker stick up for their Pops! They are Tom's biggest fans!

And to make things worst Walker says he wants to be the first one to try and ride this horse! I am sure that Tom will not let that happen! Cowboy Tom will be the first! Where is Posey when I need some one to stick up for me! Actually she would probably side with her dad as well!

Seriously, Tom do I need to get your birth certificate out so you can see how old you are!!!! To damn old to be on crazy unbroke horses!

So we will not be seeing much of Cowboy Tom because he will be out at the barn bonding with his new "Wilded Eyed Crazy" Bronc / horse, named Hawk! (Not sure what the full registered name is)

Jake, You Made Your Bed!

Jake, I am so sad for you! I feel sure that you have made the wrong choice and that you are doomed for a difficult life ahead!

But you have made your bed and ALL of us Scheurns hope for the best for you!

We really wish you would of taken all of our advice and picked ALi or Gia, but you have made your bed and I hope you enjoy sleeping in it!!

One thing I want to know is why.... is Jake going to be on my most favorite TV show, "Dancing with the stars"! He is not a star! And the worst part of the whole thing is that we are going to have to see Vienna every Monday night when we are watching "Dancing"!

Jake, Vienna, just go home! We are so done with you!
