Happy 80th Birthday Mom!

Mom is 80!! February 19, 2013
We decided to celebrate Mom's 80th and Kim's birthday this year up at our cabin to try and make this day just a little more special. Mom and I drove to the cabin on Tuesday the 12th. We just had experienced cold weather in Arizona that was record breaking. The snow on the Superstition Mountains was BEAUtIFUL! The weather was cool, crisp and clear!! This picture was taken as we just had turned off the Brush Highway on the the Beeline Highway! I had not seen snow this low on the Superstitions in many years!! The hour and forty five minutes drive up to the cabin was just lovely! Mom and I pulled off the road a few times to get a few pictures and just enjoy the view! The desert was BEAUTIFUL!!
I had to shovel a little snow to get in and out of the garage and up the stairs to our front door! It is funny how I love to shovel snow...I guess if it covered my car and I lived in it all the time....It would not be so fun!!
The rest of these cute girlies all came up on the 14th! What a great Valentines!!
Mom and Stacy getting warm by the fireplace!!
Natalie got to be a big girl and come with her mom! Posey surprised us and come up to the cabin Friday for birthday dinner! Love all these cute girls!
Mom was so very surprised when she awoke form a evening nap and come out to the family room and the boys were there!! Not sure how Kim got our brothers to come up for birthday dinner but... mom loved having all seven of her kids together all at once! It had been a while! The boys just stayed for dinner and then drove back home but...It was great to get all of us together!
So FUN!!
We made one of mom's favorite meals! Syrian food!! Grape leaves!!!
TWO  homemade German Chocolate cakes! Kim and mom's favorite!!
My nephew Drew is getting married the end of March and.... Kim wanted to put a quilt together for him! SO...We did!! ALL I can say is...STACY....She has not sewed much but she defiantly brought out her "inner" sewing skills! Stacy and I sewed and the other girls cut treads and ironed!! Thanks to the "captan" Mom for helping get this project together!

We had a chance to go to a few little stores in Pine! One of my favorites is "Moosetracks"! Nena was lucky to find these cute boots and a few other pairs! Looking good "cowgirl"!
Never thought I would see Kim make a snow angel! We took a few walks that were beautiful! As we were walking through the forrest I decided to make a snow angel...One of my favorite things to do and.... Kim joined! It was so fun!! We had a snowball fight as well!! I think Natalie got the worst of the snow balls! Love you Natalie!
Sisters for ever! Kim and Stay!!
Natalie loves her mom! I LOVe you too Stacy!
Our good friends the Parkers, have a ranch very close to our  cabin. We love going there, you never know what will be there but....I knew the girls would love to meet Rico! Rico is a miniature horse that just wonders around the ranch! AlL the girls love Rico!

Hello my cute Rico!!

Can you guess who's feet are who's?
I am so very grateful for my mom! I am so happy all of us siblings could get together to celebrate mom's 80th birthday! It was a special weekend...One I will not forget!!

Lucinda Norene Scheurn "Lucy"

Our beautiful SWEET "Lulu Bell" Lucy was baptized today!! I am so happy Lucy has chosen to baptized. This is big step but such a blessing for Lucy! Lucy has been so very excited to have her dad baptize her! It was a beautiful cool crisp day this day...A day I will never forget....And a day I am sure Lucy will never forget!!
I LOVE this little girl!!
This is the dress Lucy wore while in the water. I think we started a new tradition.....I made this dress for Emma to baptized in and now Lucy wore it. So I think this is a good idea to pass it on to each little girl in our family and then this way it will save Grammy from making two dresses for each of the grand daughters in our family!
One Proud Dad!!!
One Proud Mom!!!

Yeah....Uncle Rhett got home in time from his mission to be a witness, along with Uncle Walker.  Uncle Joe confirmed Lucy as her dad, Uncle Rhett, Uncle Walker and Ralph stood in the circle and helped.
Grammy's PRETTY girl! Lucy I love you!!!
This is Grandma Norene Ellsworth who Lucy was named after!! Lucy LOVES Grandma Ellsworth and so do I!! I know for sure Grandpa Ellsworth who passed away 9 months ago was there in spirit and was SO happy and proud of Lucy. I know Lucy misses Grandpa Ellsworth.
Cousin Max was happy to be a part of this special day!! (almost 16 months)
Cousin Maebry did not want to miss this special day! (5 weeks old)
LOVE this kid! Max!
Uncle Walker, Aunt Melanie and baby Mae would not of missed Lucy's special day!
Great Grandma she is....Cita!
Lucy looked so very pure and beautiful in her new baptismal dress Grammy made.
I have not made hair bows like this since Posey was little...It was fun to make for Lucy!
This face......Love her!
3 generations!

Lucy's eternal family!
Lucy's extended family that came to support her! We are missing a few faces...Pops was out of town!

Lucy's mom, spoke at her baptism. Tanya made this cute blanket as a reminder to Lucy of the warmth she will feel as she makes good choices prompted by the Holy Ghost.
Emma was baptized last August by her dad Joe....and was so excited for Lucy!! These girlies are "besties"!
Lucy I want you to know how happy I am for you! You are such a special sweet girl! I know you will do great things in life with the tender caring spirit you have ben blessed with. Alway rely on the Lord. HIS plan is the only way to be happy. I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for putting you in our family!! Continue to be the wonderful example you are in your family and at school. Never forget the spirit and happiness you felt this day. February 9, 2013 is a day you will never forget!
Oh and Lucy....Did I tell you Pops and Grammy love and adore you!!
Love forever,
Grammy
