Our stake is getting a new Stake President! Yes President Pugmire is being released after many many years of countless hours of service! He will be greatly missed in this calling! President Pugmire has not only been an outstanding Stake President, he has also been a dear friend for over twenty years! He has also been our home teacher for years!
Tom and I went to the Temple on Tuesday, it was packed! It was our Stake Temple day, and we were asked to go with the new Stake Presidency in mind. Tom and I were asked to do sealings. How wonderful is that, to look at your Eternal Companion over the alter! As we finished, and we were still on bended knee at the alter, the sealer looked at Tom and said "you may now kiss your sweetheart"! What a Perfect ending to a perfect day! And to finish off the day, Tom and I went to a nice lunch after we left the Temple.
Tom serves on the High Counsel and has been busy this week with meetings as our Stake prepares for Stake Conference! With this change Tom has been asked to fill out several papers in preparation for his meeting with the General Authority who is coming in and will interview Tom Saturday morning. It has been interesting gathering mine and Toms baptism and confirmation dates, our children's dates and information and extended family information. In these papers they also wanted to know about all of our callings. We both had to really put our thinking caps on to remember these things! It is a good thing we have not had many callings! We are slow learners, there for we have not had countless callings! It has been fun to look back ! Tom was asked to put a picture with each file as well. SO... Tom will not like this but.... I can't help but to post my "SWEETHEART'S" HANDSOME. CUTE face today on my blog!!!!
I know that the Lord will call the perfect new Stake President for our Stake, and Tom and our family will be eager to sustain who ever He calls!
