Gilbert Temple January 13, 2014

What a blessing and experience to be part of this new Gilbert Temple! I know this sounds wrong but....I feel like this is MY Temple! I do know with out doubt that this is one our Heavenly Fathers most holy homes! This is HIS Temple he built for us! What a blessing it has been to witness  this sacred Temple being built. I just feel so very proud of this most beautiful house of the Lord! I feel so very honored to be able to enter and receive ALL the blessing and answers our Heavenly Father has for me! I am just so very Thankful to live with in four miles or so from this celestial BEAUTIFUL Temple! It truly is another world within the walls of this Temple! It is a peace a reassurance to me that God lives and that HE provided a Savior and Temples so we all can return to live in HIS presents!
We were called to work Tuesday and Fridays 3rd shift! When I received the call I was not sure I could physically do what I was asked! I asked the Lord to give me the strength I need to serve where he asked me to serve! HE did!!! Some days I was not sure if I would make it to the end of my shift...but again I was so blessed! The very first week I also served the first Monday night of that week of the VIP tours! It was So wonderful to meet people who helped build the Temple. It was wonderful to be able to ask....What was your part here in this Temple? The spirit was just thick!!!! That week there were people from ALL different faiths that came from around the world for tours! What a honor to be a "teeny tiny" part of this week!! I ill never forget the first time I walked on the Temple grounds about a month prior to the open house! I can't express the feeling that I had! Then as we went to trainings that month prior the stories we heard and the miracles we heard about will forever be etched in my heart! One of our dear friends that was training us who lives across the field from the Temple said something to us that I will never forget...He said that this is our Heavenly Father's and our Savior's house! He said that he knew for sure that our Heavenly Father visits HIS holy Temples. H went on to say, I need to go home and make sure my home is in perfect order because he would hate if his Heavenly Father or his Savior looked out the window of the Temple across the field and saw some weeds or things out of place at his home! Not that the Lord cannot see all..all the time but....I just kept thinking to my self....So...if or when our Father in Heaven comes to walk the halls of this Gilbert Temple.....HE would physically and literally only be four miles away from my house!!! Our trainings were hectic and things would change from one to another but I learned so much serving during this open house! What a honor it was to serve.
My favorite usher Brother Tom Scheurn!!!
Tom and I were so very honored to be inside the Temple March 2nd, 2014 when the Temple was dedicated!! We set in a room right next to the Celestial room! To be in the Temple with the Prophet was just surreal!!
It was wonderful to take our kids on tours!!!
These 3 cute little boys. vance, Brogan and Grey with their mama, Posey, have watched and waited for this Temple! All of our grandchildren LOVED going on tours!! They all felt proud to be a part as well!!!
Maebry just really wanted to get in the water and play!!!

Tom loved having his sister Christi and his mother come and see the beauty!!!

This day was very special! This picture was taken March 12, 2012. This was the day Brooke Ann Olson soon to be Brooke Ann Scheurn entered into the Temple and made sacred promises to her Heavenly Father and coveted to obey HIS will! Brooke was endowed on this beautiful day!!!  Brooke and I stayed up late the night before to make her Temple dress, she has designed and she looked BEAUTIFUL!!!
Blake and Tanya, and Gavin, Lucy, Ellie and Gage!
Joe and erin's family! Emma, Noah, Gwen, and Max!!! Oopa!
As we came out of the session where Brooke was endowed, it was a very happy time for us as parents to see our kids progress!!!
The soon to be "Mr & Mrs"!!!!!!
Did I tell you how thankful I am for this Temple!!! So very grateful to be so close and to be able to serve those people that have gone before! I am so grateful to see the spier of the Temple from our home!! I am thankful that Tom served on the High Counsel during the time of the ground breaking ceremony!! Our grandkids were able to be with the General Authorities  of our church and be able to have a shovel painted gold and help turn and dig the soil the day of the ground breaking! I am Thankful that Rhett and Brooke will be one of the first 100 couples to be sealed for time and eternity in this beautiful Temple!
All I can say is.....
I LOVE THIS TEMPLE!!
I AM SO BLESSED TO HAVE IT SO CLOSE AND BE A SMALL PART OF THIS BEAUTIFUL HOLY HOUSE!!!
