Crispy Apples and Apple Juice!

Every since Rhett has been a little boy he has loved going to Cita's house! He always knows that Cita will have the best apples and apple juice!
While Tom and Joe and Walker went skiing, Rhett, Eric and I stopped by Cita's house! And yes Cita had a puzzle on the card table that her and Aunt Madge had been working on! So Rhett sat down at the puzzle and before we knew it the 750 piece puzzle was down! Opa!!!!!!
As the boys worked on the puzzle, of course Cita waited on the boys hand and foot, and I mean foot because her feet have so much pain in them!
Rhett told me that for some reason apples at Cita's are always the best! Nice and crisp and the juice is always so sweet!
Rhett has always been close to Cita! Cita took care of Rhett quite often as a little boy as I went to school and worked! Rhett has many great memories from Citas house! Rhett also loves Cita's simply sauce for his noodles and loved to go to the small outside refrigerator to get a cold soda!
To this day Rhett still loves these thing when he is at Cita's house!
We are all thankful for Cita and all the love and support she gives our family! we appreciate and love her more than she knows!

The calm before the storm if that is what you want to call it that!

It has been raining all week and today it has not stop! We are now having tornato watches and were told to go into the basment if you have one! Thankfully we have one! Rhett has the Tim Van Horn tournament tomorrow in Payson and it is now 10:00 pm and we still do not know if the roads will be open in the early morning hours to go so.... Rhett might not end up wrestling this weekend! I will let you know!

Tom and i went to a High Counsel dinner tonight at the church. I was our yearly dinner President Pugmire has for the Stake Pres. and the 12 high counselors! We enjoyed our self but coming out of the church in the storm was a little scary! 1-21-10

Deana !

Deana and her sons Jay and Randy have played football and wrestled with Rhett and Walker all through high school! I will miss her and her husband Randy Senior since this will be our last year of high school sports! Deana and her family are so fun and loving! We only hope that during regions and state it gets over at night before 8:59 because Randy go to sleep at that exact time everynight and we do not want to have to carry him to the hotel! Go Blackhawks!

Five way dual!

Today Rhett had a five way dual at AJ !! Rhett had two pins and one lost! But he looked like a champ to his mom! We are proud of Rhett and are happy that he has had a great season!
Rhett has the yearly Tim Van Horn tputnament this weekend amd we are lookimg foreard to a great weekemd!
It is suppose to snow in Payson and Eric has never seen snow so he will enjoy that!
Right Rhett is forth in state so we are looking foward to Payson!

Rhett In Deep Thought!

Wrestling Season Is Here!

We all love to watch Rhett Wrestle! He has started off with a bang! Right now he is 3rd in our 4a division 2 region! As you can see we all love to go support him! I not quite sure if the grandkids like the snacks or watching Rhett the most! Rhett has lost few and is out to pin the 171 lb from Tempe High! Rhett has wrestled twice in the 189 lb class this year even though he weighs 168, and won both of those matches!
Rhett's coaches say he is the strongest kid on the team but he needs to get that in his head to beat Tempe! I not sure who gets the most excited about Rhetts wrestling either Rhett, Walker, Eric our exchange student or Tom! I tell you as a mom it is stressfull to watch your kid wrestle! We have two new coaches this year who remember Walker from his wrestling years for Higley High! Our coaches this year came from Fountain Hills and have been state champions! They are great Coaches, I wish they could of had them all four years! Coach Ford and Coach Trulson!
So far he has had many duals between schools and at the Cactus tournament there were 18 schools and Rhett took second and at the A. J. tournament he took thrird out of 14 schools! He is wrestling in the 171 lb weight class! He wrestled yesterday and it was a four way dual and he won in both weight classes by pins! Rhett will wrestle in the 171 wieght class for regions and state! He is looking forward winning regions and is looking forward to state! He still has four weeks of duals and tournaments before region and state!
Rhett takes after his dad when it comes to his build and strength and is so close to his dad, and i am sure thankful to get his ads genes!
We are excited to see how the year ends up but... sad to say that this is our last of high school wrestling. We will miss it alot!

"A Small Piece of Heaven"

Last week was a busy week, but a fun one! The Williams invited Tom and me to go to Mexico with them on a quick trip! We left Monday and came home Wednesday night!
We had a great trip on the drive down there! The sun was setting and the mountains were just beautiful! We stop at the border and ate at Eric's favorite taco stand named Ables! It is now my favorite taco stand! It hit the spot and then we were back on the road to their condo about an hour away!
The first stop we stop at before going to the condo in Rocky Point was the candy store to get bottle coke for our special treat! Nothing better than a glass bottle of Mexican coke-cola!
And then of course we had something more to eat and got to the the condo to watch the Bachelor first episode! We all are still trying to figure out why the bachelor kept the the weird girl that say she knew that she was in love on the first episode! She is crazy and we all are deciding we will not continue to watch the show and support dumb decisions! (i can tell you now I will watch the whole season)!
We had a great night sleep and we awoke to our beautiful fresh fruit that Tom and Eric went out to get for Monya and me! and then the action started! Monya and I drop Tom and Eric off at the golf course and Monya and I went into town and did a little shopping! We ate lunch at a place called Lucas's and it was so clean and the awesome cool breeze that we had was so refreshing! The food was to die for and Monya and I just enjoyed visiting and relaxing! And then back to the condo! When we got back to the condo Monya and I decided to take a walk on the beach! It was so beautiful the water was so clear and it was pretty warm, so we walk about a mile in the surf. With the breeze blowing in our face I looked at Monya and told her this has to be a "Small Piece of Heaven"! It was such a blessing we had the strength to walk in such calm beautiful, peaceful setting! My favorite part of the trip!
When we got back to the condo we decided we would let our creative juices flow and we tie dyed t-shirts It was a blast! We had the music going and we just sang , tie dye t-shirts! We had so much fun and then the boys came home and of course Tom seemed to think he needed to let his creative juices flow as well ! It was the wars of tie dying to see whose was the best we came to the conclusion they all were good! I even tie dyed onies for Grey,Gwen and Gage!
We took the time to go back down to the beach as the sun was setting and we had so much fun taking pictures! We laughed and laugh as we thought we were somone important on the beach! We stopped by the hot tub where we met a very odd man! Monya and I were still laughing so hard because this guy thought he was so cool! Tom and Eric were posing like they were models so... we took more funny pictures! Us girls couldn't take this guy any more so we left and the men stayed for a while longer!
And by then of course it was time to eat, because it seems when we are in Mexico the main focus is food! We had the best lime-ade that night and of course thrifty ended the night! And again a great night sleep and Eric and Tom got another 12 holes of golf in the next morning and Monya had one quick walk on the beach and we packed up and headed home! BUT.... before we got on the road , back to the candy store to load up on soda and plastic goods!
And again by the time we got to the border it was time to eat again of course, and back to Ables for some more GREAT tacos!
What a great few days! We are so thankful for the fun safe quick trip we had, and we are so thankful for Monya and Eric for inviting us to share in a "Small Piece of Heaven!

2010 Happy New Years!

2009 is now over! And Ican say I am thankful but have to say we also were so blessed through out the last year!
In 2009 we completed our home on Fairview only to have to sell it but.... We were so blessed to sell it so quick! Tom put two years into building it. Tom worked on that house every day and so my heart hurts for him but it was a learning time for us! I think if we can stay together through building a home we can get thru anything! Also the car business has been so slow but again we were blessed that Tom was selling Hyundias during this time! I also never take health for granite Tom has stayed healthy and strong! I hope in the year to come Tom can get a little more time off and have a chance to enjoy doing some of the things he likes to do! That would be his quad, horse and maybe a few rounds of golf! Although he still has to talk once a month at church due to the fact that he is on the High Counsel, but with the house being sold he will not have to cram to get his talk done for the month! We are so thankful for the Honorable Priesthood that he holds and thankful for the way he uses it to bless our lifes!
This has been a difficult time for some of our kids but it also ahas been a learning time as well. It is so hard to watch any of your kids struggle but I think it can only made their family stronger if they will let it!
We got a new addition to our family in September by the name of Bennett Grey! He was born 2 months early and was in the hospital for 5 weeks but he is a fighter and thankfully he is now almost four months old and finally he weighs 9 pounds! That makes ten grand kids for us now! WOW!
In 2009 we were able to take in a foreign exchange student by the name of, Eric Kintish! He has brought alot of fun and love and laughter into our home! You never know what he will say! It has been great for Rhett to have a younger like bother and they have such a great time together!
Rhett had a great football season and worked hard to get a starting position on the team as a defensive end! Their team were nine and one! He is now in wrestling season and doing well! He wrestles 171 weight class and is in great shape! He can run a 11 minute 2 mile! He is built just like his dad! Rhett has told us that he would like to serve a full time mission this year so he will be on a mission at this time next year!
Walker is on his way in school! He has been home from his mission for almost two years and is now thinking he will get his degree in nursing and then maybe he can get on with he fire department! That is what he really wants to do! We enjoy Walker ever so much and know what ever he decide to do will be the right thing for him!
With Posey moving to Indiana this last year has been hard but I think we both have grown thru her move! She really had to rely on the Lord being in Indiana without family there. And with Health problems it has been hard on her! I was able to go help her three times in the past year but I miss her alot! She now has 3 little boys and her hands are full!
Joe and Erin continue to use Love and Logic on their kids and has had fun taking a few family trips this year! I think Erin and Joe need to have another baby but who knows if that will happen! Their little Emma is so motherly and she helps her mom alot even tho she is only 5 years old!
Blake and Tanya now have four kids and they stay busy! Tanya has picked up a few more days at work due to the car business not being so good! I think that they are looking forward to a new year! Baby Gage is so cute and is huge for his age, he is now one year old and keeps everyone hopping! Lucy gave Elli a haircut that Tanya was not to happy about! But all in all they are doing well!
As for me well this last year, 09 I am happy to get it behind me! I have had to have a power port put in my chest and and have infusions every week for the last several months! But on the other hand i am so thankful that all that I have gone through I can still get out of the house and go visit Genell in the nursing home, go with Monya to get her treatments, continue with my calling as a Agency Rep for Family service and enjoy the grand kids and still have date night with Tom!
I have so many things to be thankful for! I am so thankful for Tom, Our kids, grand kids! I am thankful for a Father in Heaven that knows me and loves me and a Savior that gave His life for me to have Eternal life with my family! I am thankful for those who are fighting for my freedom and for Myles Fattaleh and all the other missionaries that are serving people all over this world!
It is my prayer that this year I will try harder to be a better person in all ways!
I am ready for 2010!!!!!!
